Graves County Animal Control does not take ownership of relinquished animals. They must be taken to the Mayfield Graves County Animal Shelter. You will not be charged for forfeiting your animal.

Contact Mayfield Graves County Animal Shelter with as much information about the animal as possible, including a recent picture of the animal if you have one. The Mayfield Graves County Animal Shelter will notify you if an animal that matches the information provided to them.

Unlike dogs, cats are by statute considered free-roaming animals. Graves County Animal Control will not retrieve cats on your property that are free-roaming and in good health.

Contact Animal Control if you have been bitten by a dog or you have an aggressive dog on your property that is hindering your ability to freely move about your house and property.
